Travel and Speaking

Other Projects

On Tuesday, I participated in a webinar – “Better Learning Analytics: Lessons from EdX, Hack Education, Mozilla + P2PU” with Justin Reich, Vanessa Gennarelli, and Andrew Sliwinski.

An article I wrote for Knowledge Quest on the ed-tech industry and the future of reading is headed to print.

Hybrid Pedagogy reposted my story “On Silence.”

I’ve been posting more stuff to my Tumblr – a reminder that I really need to set up a “reclaim” solution there.

I updated my CV and my websites with all that happened work-wise in August.

I signed up for Beacon, which I’m going to use to crowdfund my education writing. More details soon.

Reading

I spent most of the week working on my upcoming keynote for ALT-C. As such, I re-read Frankenstein. I started (but didn’t finish) Bruno Latour’s Aramis or the Love of Technology and We Have Never Been Modern.

I also read Lois Lowry’s Messenger.
