Hack Education

Writing Here and Elsewhere

Spencer Fellowship

  • It’s over. This week was the J-School Graduation – I didn’t graduate per se, but did walk up on stage to get a certificate
  • If you want to know “what’s next,” you can read the story posted above that’s titled just that

Other Projects

  • I submitted my book proposal for Teaching Machines to an agent (and was rejected)
  • The MOOCTHULHU.com domain expired so I moved it to a subdomain on hackeducation.com
  • ABC posted its tribute to Ursula Le Guin, which I was really honored to get to be part of
  • I started writing an article that’ll come out this fall in The Baffler
  • I met with Ben Herold briefly on Tuesday before we headed to Data & Society to hear Safiya Noble speak about her book Algorithms of Oppression

Reading and Viewing

  • I finished reading The Recovering
  • I started reading Head On
