I was interviewed by Education Week's Ben Herold about my thoughts on Google's new anti-plagiarism tool. Needless to say, I think the idea is terrible and exploitative and pretty much the opposite of good pedagogy. But it's Google. So folks will use it, and students will suffer.

"We should be thinking about how to have pedagogies of care, not of surveillance," she said. "I'm not sure we can ask Google to be a part of that."
