Speaking
- I spoke at the Indie Ed-Tech and Personal API Data Summit at Davidson College. The notes from my talk, along with slides and a playlist, are available via a link above
Other Projects
- It was a rough week before we headed to North Carolina, what with me with a bout of food poisoning and Kin with a dental emergency. I don’t feel like it was a productive week, although the weekend turned out to be. I’ll try to write up my thoughts later today or (more likely) tomorrow (or even more likely, Tuesday)
- 6 weeks sober!
Listening
- I listened to a recording of Bruce Sterling’s annual closing remarks at SXSW
Family and Friends
- We find ourselves incredibly happy living in Hermosa Beach and increasingly reluctant to travel, for both mental and physical health reasons. But this weekend was great because we saw some of our dearest friends, those who remind me why I do what I do and why the work of “Indie Ed-Tech” (or whatever the hell non-corporate-non-industry-non-exploitative-ed-tech should be called) is so important. Thanks in particular to Alan Levine for the new profile pic
